๐ŸŠ Ford Focus Temperature Sensor Problems

Oct 30, 2011 ยท Ford Model: Focus'06 1.8 TDCi. Ford Year: 2006. UK/Ireland Location: Surrey. Posted October 30, 2011. Hello guys, I have ford focus mk2 1.8 tdci and noticed strange issue with temp gauge. Got the car only for a month and whenever i accelerate the temp goes down. At least this is what i see on the instrument cluster.

Oct 6, 2003 ยท More like point out the obvious): (1) Ford, at least for the Focus, refers to it as an ACT - Air Charge Temperature sensor. (2) The labels on the wires like '.75 GN/RD' stand for wire size and color. For example: .75mm^2 Green wire with Red Stripe. FYI - The mm^2 is the metric equivalent of AWG.
Feb 23, 2023 ยท The average steering angle sensor replacement cost is between $150 and $500, depending on the car model and labor costs. The steering angle sensor costs $120โ€“$250, and the labor costs, on average, $80โ€“$250. The first thing you might wonder about after looking at the replacement cost is that it varies a lot.
Jun 29, 2018 ยท 1. Your check engine light is on: If the engineโ€™s computer detects a problem with the coolant temperature sensor, or its circuit, it will turn on the check engine light. 2. Your engine stalls: When the engine is first started, it will require more fuel in order to idle smoothly until itโ€™s warmed up. The signal from the coolant temperature Duralast Coolant Temperature Sensor SU10467. Part # SU10467. SKU # 29258. Limited-Lifetime Warranty. Check if this fits your 2008 Ford Focus. Location: Coolant Temperature Sensor. Notes: Engine Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor. PRICE: 32.99. Location:: Coolant Temperature Sensor. Oct 21, 2016 ยท In persistent stop-and-go driving, the clutches can get too hot, and the transmission has sensors to protect the clutches, resulting in the message you get to pull over and let it cool down. Ford has had several Customer Satisfaction programs (think voluntary recall) on the clutches, transmission, and the software managing of all of it. Nov 2, 2010 ยท When the temperature falls below 55-60F and the car sits overnight it is impossible to start. Multiple attempts over 5-10 minutes hard to start. According to my Daughter the starter sounds the same when the car starts normally, or when it doesn't start and she is just cranking away. If the car is warm, or the temperature is above 60 degree's Step 4: Wiring Schematics. Wires BU-BN (blue/brown) and VT-BN (violet/brown) are the wires connected to the temperature sensor (thermistor). In some cases the thermistor will open (resistance=infinite) in others it will show the problem only when moisten, it will cause the AC compressor shut down. If this is your case, the wires must be chopped Dec 15, 2013 ยท I have a 2005 Focus ZX3 2.0L. My engine light came on and it's giving me P0128 as a code. (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature). My car is not overheating, and the gauge works. Heater blows hot air. My antifreeze is new and full. I replaced the "engine coolant temperature SWITCH" (this is what the guy at Ford called it Jan 7, 2023 ยท The P0113 DTC means that thereโ€™s an issue with the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. It shows that the voltage is higher than expected, thereby giving the PCM an incorrect measurement. This problem could be related to damaged wiring, a poor connection or a bad IAT sensor. Oct 16, 2023 ยท The cost to replace a fuel rail pressure sensor can vary quite a bit depending on make and model of your vehicle. On average, expect to pay between $200 and $340 total for a fuel rail pressure sensor replacement. Parts alone will set you back about $60 to $100 and the labor cost to replace the sensor will cost between $140 and $240.
Oct 2, 2016 ยท Hi, you have a system that was only used on very late model Focus Mk2. The Cooling Fan is directly controlled by either the Engine Control Module (ECM) for normal cooling, or it can be controlled by the Air Conditioning Fan Control Module (A/C FCM). Watch this video it will explain how your system works.

Jan 16, 2013 ยท martyntdci. Unplug the temperature gauge wire at the sending unit, most likely located on the engine,Ground the temperature gauge wire to the engine using a extra piece of wire (if its not long enough), then get somebody to Turn the ignition on but donโ€™t start the engine, then watch the temperature gauge, If the gauge now reads Hot then its

Mar 15, 2012 ยท " Check to see if there is a sensor in between plugs 2 and 3 (this is a cylinder head temp sensor) , if so check that the wiring for it is O.K . The advice about the cylinder head temp sensor is valid as earlier models had an interference problem. The wiring to the temp sensor runs alongside the HT leads of nos 1 and 2 plugs. YDorQ.
